News: On the Outskirts

On the outskirts of Crespi d’Adda you can enjoy some natural beauties in the Adda Nord Park, a regional park founded in 1981.
Along the river Adda, nearby the company town of Crespi d’Adda, you can find particularly attractive areas, where you can go for a walk hearing the shooting river roaring.
We remind the area nearby the "gangway", near Concesa, where you can have a view of the derivation-channel, which fed the factory power station, the river Adda and the Naviglio Martesana, which flows to Milan.
In the southern part of the settlement, beyond the cemetery, the river Brembo flows into the river Adda, closing the southern part of the so called "Isola Bergamasca”.

The power station Taccani, whose construction was financed by Crespi family and planned by the architect Gaetano Moretti, is on the outskirts of Trezzo sull’Adda.
It was started in 1906 and inaugurated in 1909. The power station, despite its monumentality, is harmoniously inserted both in the natural landscape of the Adda Nord Park and in the historical environment, characterized by Visconti Castle. The castle and also the building materials (the "ceppo del Brembo", a kind of stone traditionally extracted in this area and used for several buildings round here) remind us the attention to the landscape.
The façade of the power station is mirrored by the waters of the river Adda, showing its stately beauty.
